Anthony is a sixth year Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School. He studies topics in labor economics, health economics, and economic history. His job market paper studies the growth of nurse training in the United States.
Anthony’s academic work has examined the causal effects of foster care placement (published in the Journal of Political Economy) and the state of child welfare and foster care policy in the U.S. (published in the Journal of Economic Perspectives). Prior to the Ph.D., he worked as a research fellow at Brown University. He graduated magna cum laude from Pomona College in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in economics.
